Loretta Shartsis came to the Sri Aurobindo Ashram in early 1972 and lived and worked both in Auroville and the Ashram for 6-1/2 years. Returning to America, she worked for 18 years as an attorney doing legal research and making presentations before the U. S. Federal Courts of Appeal.

Lorette has lived permanently in Auroville since 2001. While there, she has researched and presented 14 teaching exhibitions on the lives and teachings of the Mother and Sri Aurobindo, using archival photographs and quotations from their works. Books containing the full texts used in her most recent exhibitions are sold in bookstores at the Sri Aurobindo Ashram and Auroville and are available through Auromere.

Loretta gives presentations to Auroville school groups of all ages. She will be giving weekly presentations for adults in Savitri Bhavan from December 2010 through mid-March 2011 that will include portions of tape recordings of Mother in English and in French with English interpretations.

Recordings of her presentations are broadcast on Auroville Radio.

Loretta was a guest speaker at AUM 2010 in Phoenicia, New York, hosted by Matagiri. Her presentation was called “Finding the Psychic Being."
